The stratification of the water by temperature allows various heat sources to be utilised considerably more cost-efficiently.
In the places where only hot water is needed, e.g. in underfloor heating or wall heating, it is enough simply to tap into the layer with hot water. This means that the solar system can even be used on cloudy days where water only 40 °C hot is produced. Where particularly hot water is needed, for example, by the heat exchangers for the hygienic heating of drinking water, Oskar° simply taps into the top temperature layer. In this way, savings of up to 30% and more can be achieved without convenience being compromised.
If no heat is needed, Oskar° saves energy passively. As all connections are situated in the cold zone, hardly any heat is lost through the pipes in the hot zone. The stored heat is retained longer; Oskar° becomes a real safe store for heat.
